I started this blog (or at least the original version of it) when I set off for a year long trip in December 2010. I travelled through Cambodia, Laos, China and Tibet before spending a few months in Nepal. From there I did couple of months in London and France before returning to India, Nepal and Tibet. In February 2012 I returned to my old job in the finance and banking industry in Australia where I had worked for six years prior. It’s now January 2014 and I’m about to head off again, this time to travel through South America for a few months and while I’m there I will complete a CELTA course before heading back to Nepal to work with the Friends of Himalayan Children and teach English in Batase Village.
This blog is a collection of my travels, largely from 2011 but also from before, and after, where I had kept notes or had some photos. I am in no way a writer or photographer but have just captured my travels the best I can, partly for my retrospection and then for anyone else that may be interested. I’ll continue to record my journey in 2014 and beyond.
Please leave comments or contact me if you have any questions about any of the places I have visited and I’ll try to answer your questions as best I can.
